These cookies are simple and tasty.
You need only 3 main ingredients.
You can cut them into Christmas shapes and decorate them.
1 cup (225 g) soft butter
1/2 cup (100 g) white sugar
2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
Optional for decoration:
Sprinkles
Melted chocolate
Powdered sugar
Heat the oven
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix butter and sugar
Put the soft butter and sugar in a large bowl.
Mix them with a spoon or mixer until the mix is smooth and creamy.
Add the flour
Add the flour slowly to the bowl.
Mix until a soft dough forms.
If the dough is too soft, put it in the fridge for 15–20 minutes.
Shape the cookies
Lightly flour your table or counter.
Put the dough on the table and roll it out.
Make the dough about 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) thick.
Use cookie cutters to make Christmas shapes (stars, trees, etc.).
Put the shapes on a baking sheet with baking paper.
Bake
Bake the cookies for about 10–12 minutes.
The edges should be just a little golden, not brown.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet.
When the cookies are cool:
Dip part of each cookie in melted chocolate.
Or sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top.
Or add colorful sprinkles.
Enjoy your easy Christmas butter cookies! 🎄✨
